To do justice to Connie’s art, our team chose Squarespace as the platform—a favorite among creatives with its photography-heavy layouts. Although the platform has some limitations, we knew we could use it to create an extensive portfolio that would keep up with Connie’s work for years to come. Simple navigation and descriptions of each piece are intended to mirror the experience of walking through a physical gallery.
We also knew that the Squarespace platform would be reliable with its uptime, speed, and performance—serving her large images quickly and efficiently. Ultimately, we built a flexible website for her that puts all the focus on her work, as it should be. The website features a clean and modern design, with bold detail images used as headers that highlight the intricacies of Connie’s art. The layout is easy to navigate, making it simple for visitors to explore and learn more about her creative process. For visitors who wish to obtain their own mineral mosaic, an unobtrusive but ever-present “Ask About a Commission” button accompanies every portfolio page as a call to action.
